Another great day in Pune. Today we met Joel Lundquist's (expat) family and filmed the boys going to school. Then we visited the new B&V office that's under construction. It'll fit twice as many professionals as we have now. Got a nice break for a few hours mid day so catch up on email and zone out a bit. Then we shot the Dorabjee Market (a three-story "regular" grocery store with an escalator to take you and your cart up) and then the Shivaji market, a version of a farmer's market that includes live chickens, fish, beef and vegs. It was pretty smelly by the chicken parts and we declined seeing the beef area when we heard we would see cow heads and that it would be really rank. No need to film that. Here's a pic of the veg side, including Swati and Larry Fiebelkorn and his wife Christina:

Lynne and I split up then. She went to film expat kids playing and I went to the office to prepare for Pune Informational Meeting. The purpose was to entice professionals about moving to Pune. We were very happy that more than 100 professionals joined the call and hope we get recruits out of it. Wrapped up about 7:30 and got back to the hotel after 8. Stayed in for the night, repacking to head to Mumbai tomorrow after more filming in Pune.

  1. I am really enjoying your blog, Julie. I am still trying to fathom how I would ever get through a 3 story grocery store. Love the pictures!
